the Star Festival

Do you know about the Chinese star legend? It is a special day for ORIHIME (Vega) and HIKOBOSHI (Altair) once a year that they can get across the Milky Way to meet each other.
We put a bamboo which decorated five colors oblong cards written poems and words in own garden and we pray to progress in writing and sewing.

Iris
"Which flower is iris sanguinea or iris laevigata?" It means that I am puzzled which to choose as it is too hard to distinguish because they are the same kind of flower and everything is excellent.

The calligraphy
"Shodo is the art of drawing characters with a brush and India ink to express spiritual depth and beauty."

We had a great time at the calligraphy event. It was raining heavily but guests arrived. We were really pleased to see them.
The instructor is also excellent, isn't she?
Her explanation, character and ability are great!!
Thanks for coming. I hope they all feel the same as me.
Well, what shall we do next?
Shodo again, climbing Mt.Fuji, making sushi-roll, performing zazen or whatever...

T'aekwondo
It is the martial arts of Korea. The characteristic is hitting and pushing by fist and kicking as well.
I was really excited it had great power more than my imagination.
The instructor teaches his students very eagerly and carefully. Students learn it very enjoyable.
When kids wearing a chest protector had a training in kicking, he said. "You will be able to kick very well if you work hard."
I think as if I learned a lesson of life. I thought I'll go through with everything if I work hard, and I thought I'm going to plug away at my studies as well.
I hope they will be Olympic athletes in the future.

The little rose garden
There is a little rose garden I saw when I went for a walk, but that is just somebody's who I don't know. These roses are really lovely as if they show passers. Also there is fragrant with roses around here.
